Amber began working with Dr. Ward since 2003 and currently serves as the Associate Director of the Children’s Healthy Weight Research Group. She is a Registered Dietitian and earned her Master of Public Health degree from the Gillings School of Global Public Health Department of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has served in the role of project manager or co-investigator on numerous research projects related to the promotion of healthy habits in young children. Her projects have spanned multiple settings including home, child care, and school. A specific topic of interest that she continues to explore is the impact of caregiver feeding and physical activity practices on the formation of children’s health habits.
