Medical Instructor, Duke University

Dr. Cody is a Medical Instructor in the Department of Population Health Sciences in the Duke University School of Medicine. Broadly, his work focuses on the health and wellbeing of children and families. Currently, he has several projects focused on identifying opportunities to improve clinical pediatric obesity treatment using electronic health record data and mixed methods research. He has also recently completed a pilot study examining the feasibility of a father-child physical activity intervention and continue to be involved in research related to obesity prevention in the early care and education setting. While working with the CHWRG, he worked on several projects including Keys, CARE, HomeSTEAD, Parenting SOS and Healthy Me Healthy We. He still continues to collaborate with members of the CHWRG on several projects investigating child physical activity.
