Regan Burney, PhD

Regan joined the CHWR team in February 2014 and is currently the Project Manager for the Go NAPSACC Kentucky Dissemination project. She holds a Doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her work with CHWR continues Regan’s longstanding commitment to researching child behavior and development. Her research interests include how environmental contexts and child personality influence how parents work together and how co-parenting influences child development over time.

Falon Smith, PhD

Falon joined the CHWR team in August 2017 as the Project Manager for CARE, and in 2018 she also became the Project Manager for Go NAPSACC. She holds a Doctorate in Exercise Science from the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. Her previous work involved creating healthy environments in childcare settings through interventions promoting physical activity and healthy eating behaviors. Falon’s research interests include exploring the role that nutrition and physical activity policies and initiatives play in organizational change and their ensuing impact on the landscape across community-based programs.

David Yates, MBA

David joined the CHWR team in January 2017 as a Visiting Scholar and Senior Consultant, and he is currently managing the Better Together project. He has a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He retired from a business career, where his positions included Senior Vice President with the Gerber Baby Food Company and President of the Nestle Healthcare Nutrition Division.
